Why Voice Adds Signal

A multiple-choice quiz asks you to report your own pronunciation. A voice mode could analyze actual vowel sounds, rhythm, and stress patterns against known regional baselines. This would add a layer of accuracy that self-reporting cannot provide.

Privacy and Consent Design

Any voice mode would require explicit, per-recording consent. No audio would be stored without permission. The design goal is in-browser analysis where possible, with clear delete and opt-out controls. No voice data would be sold or shared with third parties.

What Voice Mode Cannot Do

Voice analysis cannot determine ethnicity, nationality, intelligence, or character. It can only compare acoustic patterns with regional baselines. Results would remain estimates for curiosity and learning.

Current State

The live quiz uses multiple-choice answers only. This voice mode page describes planned future work. Sign up for updates via the support email if you want to know when recording-based features become available.
